What's in the Name? Metta88

Metta in Pali language means Loving Kindness. It signifies friendship and non violence. It is also a strong wish for the happiness of others, thus it is used as a meditation object.

Metta is a very specific form of love. One recites specfic words and phrases towards oneself, loved ones, friends, strangers, enemies and all beings. It is the antidote of anger. Radiating metta could contribute to a world of love, peace and happiness.

May You Be Well and Happy!
May You Be Free From Harm and Danger!
May You Be Free From Suffering!

When one radiate metta to oneself it should be:
May I Be Well and Happy!
May I Be Free From Harm and Danger!
May I Be Free From Suffering!
Or should we be more affirmative (as in the Law of Attraction)
I AM Well and Happy!
I AM Free From Harm and Danger!
I AM Free From Suffering!
Something to think about...
